The banks of the lake have just been completely rebuilt by the city of Milan, transforming it from a simple water reserve into a lively gathering place, with large walkways lining the waterfront, and parties and events happening at the Darsena every day. The area could not be more convenient to enjoy Milan - the bars and restaurants of Navigli sit just a stroll along the water away, while other historical landmarks like Colonne and Duomo are just as close.
